Execute skill script from unix shell

I have completed my skill script which is working as designed when loaded via CIW. My script is just creating the library, then creating cells with schematic and layout view for all the components.

I want to execute the same script through unix shell without opening the virtuoso. What are the changes required to load my script through unix shell?

    Hi,

Well you need some SKILL interpreter, how about

    % dbAccess -load yourSkillCode.il

    Max

As Max says, dbAccess will be OK if you are only using core SKILL, db, dd, tech, cdf functions; if you're using other more complex APIs you would need to run virtuoso. You could in that case do:

    virtuoso -restore yourCode.il

    or

    virtuoso -nograph -restore yourCode.il

(you might then want to call exit() at the end).

    Regards,

    Andrew.
