Environment variables -> layout

Hi,

I am wondering where I would find a list of all the environment variables that can be set for layout, and in particular to find the variable to set grid type to "none"? I can never seem to locate from the user documentation.

Thanks!

Brian.

    Hi Brian,

    Getting an exhaustive list should be fairly easy - just go to

    CIW -> Options -> Save Defaults

    This brings up a GUI where you can choose a tool - layout in your case. And under "Variables to Save" you select "All Tool variables".

    and by the way - the layout variables controlling the grid appearance are drawDottedGridOn and drawGridOn

    Also, in IC618/ICADVM181 there's now Options->cdsenv editor which is a searchable UI to do this kind of search. There's also (in the layout editor) the search assistant which can also be used to search for environment variables (search for "grid" for example).

    Andrew.
