    You can't as such but it may be there's an alternative way of doing what you want (e.g. adding a custom menu which accesses the data for that simulation point). What are you trying to do?

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    What do you mean by "open the simulation result"?

    Andrew.

    something like openResults(".../simulation/tb_gd/adexl_dc/results/data/Interactive.0/31/sim:tb_gd:1/psf")

    One thing you could do is to create a directory called menus (in the working dir, or somewhere else in the "setup.loc" locations - see the documentation on the Cadence Search File mechanism), and within that place a file called spectre.menus with this content:

    CCFStdSpectreMenus=sevCustomEntity('sevItemListsCME)

    (sevAddMenuItemLists
      (lambda (session name)
        (case name
          ;------------------------------------------------------------------
          ; Add new Open Results entry in Results menu
          ;------------------------------------------------------------------
          (("Results" "&Results")
           (append1
    	 (funcall CCFStdSpectreMenus session name)
    	 `("Open Results"
    	   ?callback (openResults (asiGetPsfDir (sevEnvironment ',session)))
    	   ?disable (sevNoResults ',session))
    	 )
           )
          )
        )
      )

    Then in ADE XL/Explorer/Assembler you can use the Right Mouse button menu over a simulation point and pick "Open Results" and it will invoke openResults() for that point, so typing in the CIW would allow you to call results(), or v("/blah" ?result 'tran) and it will work with that set of data.

    Hope that helps?

    Andrew
