Create a PathSeg with "Part of a Route" as TRUE

Hi All,

I am using Cadence ICADV 18.1 ISR8. I am creating a PathSeg using Skill with the following command:

dbCreatePathSeg(geGetEditCellView() car(leGetEntryLayer()) p1r p2r p1w "variable" "variable" '(0.0 0.0))

It does create a PathSeg in layout. But I see FALSE as "Part of a Route" in Edit Properties window as shown below:

When I create a wire using Create->Wiring->Wire from layout window, it creates a PathSeg with "Part of a Route" as TRUE. In both the cases, I don't have the connectivity for the net.

Please point me any option or a different command using SKILL to create a pathSeg or wire with "part of a route" as TRUE.

Thanks

Baig

    Hi Baig,

    You either need to find an existing route, or create a new one, and then add the pathSeg to that route. For example:

    ps=dbCreatePathSeg(cv "Metal2" 0:0 10:0 0.3 "truncate" "truncate")
    route=dbCreateRoute(cv)
    route~>objects=list(ps)

    Regards,

    Andrew.
