Title of tearoff menu

IC617:

I created a pulldown menu with

menu=hiCreatePulldownMenu('my_sym my_title my_items)

and when I insert it with

hiInsertBannerMenu(win menu hiGetNumMenus(win))

all is well, I see the menu, and if I tear it off I see the tear off menu with the title specified by the my_title string variable.  Then I tried

my_title = hiLoadIconData("/path/to/icon.png")

and repeat the above.  Now my custom pulldown menu is an icon as desired, but if I tear off the menu, the menu dialog is called "iconTitle".  I don't seem to see a place to specify both the name *and* an icon.  

If I check menu->_menuTitle I see (98566377 16 16) which should be my icon ID and WxH.

So... what's the magic to get the right name in the tear off menu title bar?

    Hi Dan,

    I can't see a way of doing this. I think you should contact customer support - this will probably need R&D to provide a function to do this, or extend the icon description to allow a title as part of the icon description.

    If you contact customer support, please post the number here as I will be interested in seeing the CCR (change request). Not something I've ever needed to do (have an icon for a pulldown menu), but I'm interested nevertheless.

    Thanks.  I submitted a SR along with a complete, self contained, SKILL example.  I'll update if/when they convert to a CCR.
