Hello,

writing skill code for the diode(pcell) .How to get(calculate) the area of diode from techfile??

    Which tech file are you talking about? I don't know anything about a Virtuoso tech file that contains the area of a diode...

    This will rather depend on the layout structure of the diode, whether the tech rules for those layers are in the tech file, and whether the minimum device size corresponds to the simple layer rule info (the minimum might be larger, who knows?)

    To be honest, this is far too open ended to be able to answer.

    you may find SKILL code for some pcells here,  <virtuoso_install>/tools/dfII/samples/ROD/rodPcells/components/. A diode pcell can be coded similarly to eb junction of a BJT.
