Cadence Auto Route Issue

Hi,

I am trying to use cadence auto-route feature in a simple layout.

I generated the pins and devices using "GenFromSource", then when I go to "Route -> Automatic Routing -> All Nets",  It runs for 2 sec and ends up with below  error.

**************************************************************
* *
* Begin Min-Spanning-Tree Routing Flow for Normal Nets *

Can anyone help to understand the issue ? I am doing this in Layout-XL.

Thanks In Advance,

Amar

    Hi Amar,

This sounds as if you don't have sufficient GXL licenses. See License error when trying to invoke the VSR automatic routing and use 'Generate Routing from Topology' in Modgen Editing

If it's not that, I suggest you contact customer support.

    Andrew.

    Hi Andew,

Thanks, It helped. I feels I don't have enough XL licenses to run the Route command.

    Regard,

    Amar

    Hi Amar,

You need GXL licenses to run the router (for anything beyond a single net, which you can route with XL). You can use XL for the layout cockpit, but the router will need GXL tokens.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for the information again.

I was trying to use router(All Net) without GXL lic. So it ends up with the error.

    Regards,

    Amar
