schematic symbol label lpp info

Are there any problems with changing the schematic symbol label lpp to another lpp than '("pin" "label")

I want to change the label lpp so I can have different label colors to correspond to different metals the route needs to be routed.

Changing the lpp is a quick identifier than going through a properties or constraints.

    Hi Paul,

The layer-purpose pairs used by the labels is pretty unimportant. One thing to be aware of is that the View->Hide Instance Labels/View->Hide Terminal Labels only works on a few specific layer-purposes, but other than that the LPP shouldn't matter.

No, there isn't. You could just write your own using the tech file functions techGetLPAttr/techSetLPAttr, or just set the visibility attribute on the LP object in the tech file. There's no layer palette in the schematic/symbol editor, so they wouldn't quite make sense.

This post might give you some clues.
