Context menu in schematic canvas

Kevin Earls

I have created custom context menus and successfully added them to the context menus of the layout window. But  I can't get a custom context menu to show up in the schematic canvas. This only works in the navigator. There are no error messages generated at any time.

Anyone have a clue to why the menu doesn't show up in the schematic canvas?

mbUnregisterAction("mySchMenu")
mbRegisterCustomMenu("schematic" "mySchMenu" "t" "myMakeSchMenus()")
mbSetContextData("schematic" "mySchMenu" "Any" "Canvas Navigator" "Common")

    Right-clicking in the Schematic view displays a context menu that contains options that are specific to the Schematic view. Like the camera view context menu, the options in the Schematic view context menu change depending on what you click and on whether anything is selected.

    This may help you,

    Answering the original question - please see the bottom part of How to create and add or insert a custom menu item in the RMB context sensitive (as per selected object) popup menu of layout and schematic? which explains that this currently doesn't work for the canvas with a schematic; it gives a possible workaround there though.

    I don't know which tool you are talking about, but the only "Camera View" I'm aware of in Analyst (part of the AWR tools) - it's not in the Virtuoso Schematic Editor.
