Dear Group members ,

I need small favor from your expertise, I have Flattened Pcell named nch ( Having lots of parameter).

I can see following cdf parameter even after Flattening Pcell named as nch ,

Present scenario, If I instantiate this cell in my layout view I am seeing following error in CIW

Now  I want to covert it back to Pcell so that I can instantiate in layout view ( So I can change any parameter  ( W, L, Finger etc)

Could you please suggest me how to create Pcell from Flattened Pcell  as above named nch cell ( New Pcell should have all parameter which was earlier has it).

Please post your code or solution. Thanks for your help again !

Best regards,

Yogesh Jaiswal

So, you could redefine the pcell and all it's parameters. There is an interactive UI but this is really only practical for a simple pcell. I do not recommend it.

You can define the pcell again in SKILL. Obviously some knowledge and experience in SKILL programming required.

There is an interactive tool: PCell Designer Generating a Layout Parameterized Cell using PCell Designer - Basic (cadence.com)

But why do the extra work? Why not just reinstate the pcell you used in the first place?
