Dear everyone,

I have seen reference to such issues in TSMCN28, 20 and potentially 16. Are you using one of these nodes? It seems it's largely due to the pCells (callbacks). I'm not sure it's ever been resolved.

How big are the modgens you create?

    Hello RobMan,

I am working on tsmc 22nm, with a small block with a simple diff pair Group array. and its frustrating modifying modgen, it takes 10 to 15 mins in every modify we make.

    Thank you for the reply..

Have either of you reported this to customer support? There’s a limit to how much we can investigate this based on incomplete information via the community forums…

Hi Andrew, already reported it 3 months ago, and the Cadence support team has no response, they just suddenly close the case I raised.

    I checked that case.

The case was closed immediately after it was opened, with a detailed reply stating that we no longer support case submissions via email (this has been the situation for several years now). Instead, you should submit the case through http://support.cadence.com as this allows clearer identification of the product you're using, plus can often give suggestions which may avoid the need to submit a case in the first place (probably not in this case, but in general that's true).

Maybe something blocked the email reply at your end, but I can see it was sent.

    Regards,

    Andrew

Yes. After logging into http://support.cadence.com you go to Cases→Submit Case which is the link you shared.
