    Hello Aldo,

Yes, it is possible to set the "color" of a double-patterned metal in a PCell. This process typically involves using specific commands in the PCell's SKILL code to assign the desired color to the metal layers. The exact method can vary depending on the design tools and the specific requirements of your project.

For instance, in Cadence Virtuoso, you can use the `dbCreateLayer` and `dbSetLayerColor` functions to define and set the color for different layers within your PCell. You might also need to ensure that your design rules and constraints for double patterning are correctly implemented to avoid any conflicts.

    Best regards,

    Do you mean 'dbSetShapeColor'?

'dbSetLayerColor' is not a valid function.

I had an idea that the response that suggested dbSetLayerColor might have been LLM-generated... but I couldn't be certain whether that was the case or whether it was just a typo!
