"Impact of Using Polygon Function Instead of Rectangle Function in Cadence PCELL"

I was previously using separate procedures to draw rectangles and polygons in my PCell script in Cadence SKILL. Since a rectangle only requires two points, while a polygon requires four, I decided to simplify my code by removing the rectangle procedure and using the polygon function to draw rectangles instead. Will this change have any impact on the PCell generation time or functionality in Cadence Virtuoso?

I know, it may sound silly.

I don't quite see how replacing your rectangles with polygons simplifies the code (it's not simpler...) but potentially there's a (small) performance/memory/storage impact. Rectangles are more lightweight than polygons because you only need to store 2 points versus at least 3 (or 4 in the case of a rectangular polygon) - plus they have to cope with a variable number of points. I've not done any analysis on the impact (because the difference would be small in any case with a small number of objects), but the key point here is that they are different objects in the database.
