ADE Parameters : mapping DPAR <-> device parameter in ADE

Hello,
When I use Parameters in ADE, I can see in the netlist that the parameters I set are transformed in DPAR_1, DPAR_2, ...

Is there a way to know the correspondance between the parameter DPAR_ in the netlist and the device parameter I set in ADE?

Laurent.

    Laurent,

Not as far as I know, other than looking in the netlist where they are used.

    Hello Andrew,

    Thank you for your response.

I intend to address this issue differently by parsing the netlist.
To do so, my code utilizes the function maeCreateNetlistForCorner to generate the netlist.
However, the output netlist does not include the DPAR parameters, unlike the netlist generated for simulation when running ADE.
Could you please advise if there is a way to generate a netlist that contains the DPAR parameters?

    Laurent.

    Hello
I’m following up on this post in case my last message was missed during the holiday period.

I don't think there's any public API to do this. What is probably needed is a public equivalent of the private function used underneath the Right Mouse→Create Netlist in the Run Preview tab, but this doesn't exist as far as I can tell.

    That's a pity!
Thank you, Andrew, for the clarification

    Hello,

As suggested, I opened a couple of weeks ago a CCR requesting a public function that generates a netlist with the parameters DPAR_.

Anyway, I'm updating the post with another question related to the function maeCreateNetlistForCorner.
This function generates a netlist as if we were in Assembler. This means that parameters in the netlist are those defined as Global Variables if they exist; otherwise the ones defined as Design Variables.
I'd like my netlist to be created as if I were in Explorer, i.e without using the global variables.

Is there a function for that?

    Laurent.

    Hi Laurent,

I don't think there's a simple way of doing this. However, the following should do what you want:

testSess=maeGetTestSession("TRAN_AC") ; could pass ?session if needed
    asiNetlist(testSess)
view(strcat(asiGetNetlistDir(testSess) "/" asiGetSimInputFileName(testSess))) ; or just retrieve the file name if you don't want to view it
