PD aware routing

Hi,

 I am currently working on a MSV design .I would like to know if PD aware routing has to be is turned

on through out the compelte flow or is it done only during optimizations. I observe that lot of detours can

be caused if we turn on the PD aware routing throghout the complete flow.
