The Power Forward Initiative has published "A Practical Guide to Low-Power Design – User Experience with CPF".  It is available for download free of charge at www.powerforward.org.

This guide is divided into six sections: Introduction to Low Power; Verification of low-power Intent; Front-end Design; Low-Power Implementation; CPF User Experiences; and CPF Terminology Glossary.  A Foreword is written by Dr. Alberto-Sangiovanni Vincentelli, Chair EE Department, UC Berkeley, Cadence founder and board member, and Preface by Dr. Chi-Ping Hsu who describes the evolution of design that now must holistically address power consumption, and the vision behind the Power Forward Initiative.

The guide is reflective of the collective efforts of the 26 advisor companies in the Power Forward Initiative and details their low power design experience using CPF and the Cadence Low Power Solution.
