    Hi,

    Ehen it goes to Virtuoso : http://www.vtvt.ece.vt.edu/vlsidesign/tutorialCadence_importGDS.php

     For LVS you can import verilog netlist and do LVS.

     Regards,

    TH

    There are a couple of ways you can merge in your full layouts:

    - use the following switch in your FE streamOut command: -merge {listOfExternalGDSFiles}

    - stream the FE GDS into a DFII library that contains all of your std cells, rams, IOs, etc.

    As for LVS, the flow can be different depending on the designer and the tool used. A general flow would be to output a physical netlist from FE, which the LVS tool may or may not convert to a spice netlist, and then run LVS pointing to the full GDS of your design and this physical netlist.
