analysing *.slk report

Hi all,

 I am doing clock tree synthesis, after doing the CTS in encounter.

encounter generates the .slk files. howto interprete the.slk file.

one example will be great help.

     Rahul,

    This file is just a list of your worst slacks and the endpoints. You can see how much you are missing timing by looking in this file. But honestly, I never look at this file. Right after CTS, I do an optDesign -postCTS and get a timing report after that with timeDesign. Before CTS, your design was optimized with ideal clocks. Now that you have clock skew, you will need another pass through the opter. The file I really look at after CTS is the clock.report to see how CTS did in meeting my skew and insertion delay targets.
