Can't generate abstract views

 Hi,

I am having problems generating abstract views for my simple inverter layout with the Abstract Generator that is integrated with my Cadence 5.141.   In my inverter layout view, there are 4 pins and respective labels, VDD, GND, in and out. When I did extract step (I select signal net and power net extractions on the extract step form), it reported two errors, a short between VDD and out and another short between GND and out. I've checked the generated extract view. In the view, besides the VDD and GND M1 shapes on net purpose layer, there are also two out M1 shapes on net purpose layer overlaping with VDD and GND M1 shapes respectively. I think this causes short errors during extract step but I can't figure out a way to solve the problem.

Another question is that can Abstract Generator generates the CoreSite cell automatically? I once saw an automatically generated CoreSite cell in my library but now I don't know how to do it. When I export LEF, all my macros refer to "site CoreSite", but I don't have the "site CoreSite" definition.

Thank you for your time.
