Change the number of vias

Hello,
In my design Nanoroute creates 2 vias for a specific net, but the DRC in calibre says that 4 vias are required. How can I change the number of vias for a net?

Christian

Hi Cristian ,
I have the similar DRC ERROR issued in my design too, I my anticipation the cause is due to LEF rule description .
Soce cant understand the internal structure of a mega cell ( such as RAMs ) for via rule.
So based on the technology rule description if 4 vias are required do either of the following things for work around .
after importing the violation (.err) file on to Soce ( load violation type calibre ).
1. do manual route ( by edit route GUI option ) .
after deleting the existing one ,
NOTE : U need to do L type jogging to drop 4 vias .

2. change the metal layer . depending on available resources .
BTW : you have not mentioned on which via. the violation happened .

If you could not solve please send the pattern ...

Good luck .

Best regards,
Mohan Ch
