Replicate commands of encounter in RC physical

Biswadip

 Hi,

Is it possible to provide the following information used in encounter placement to RC physical for better correlation:

     1. setplacemode and setoptmode of encounter

     2. temperature scaling done in encounter? (Specifically the command defineRcCorner)

     3. How to do clock gate aware placement? ( How to provide the clock spec file)

     4. Any fence and guide information not there in def.

  Thanks,

    Biswadip

    Hi Biswadip,

all information indicated can be supplied in RC Physical.

     (1) can be addressed through attribute enc_user_mode_file and enc_user_constraints_file

         please refer to man pages

    (2)  adjustments to operating condition temperature in RC will be used when performing R/C extraction

    (3) Probably using mechanism in (1) is best bet

    (4) can probably use solution in (1) That being said, it is always preferable to have all floorplan informatoin capture in the DEF whenever possible. It limits the chances for things being accidentally forgotten

let us know if this helps,

    gh-
