Hi All,

How do these parameters affect my Clock tree building and what do they mean(to the tool) ....

                                                          1)MaxDelay
                                                          2)MinDelay
                                                          3)MaxSkew
                                                          4)ForceMaxCap
                                                          5)MaxFanOut
                                                          6)BufMaxTran
                                                          7)SinkMaxTran
                                                          8)MaxCap
                                                          9)DefaultMaxCap
It would be better if can get some reading resources for the above query as well as on CTS building.....

Thanks & Regards,

NAADHAN

These parameters are documented in the Encounter User's Guide, in the Synthesizing Clock Trees chapter, under the Creating a Clock Tree Specification File section:

    http://sourcelink.cadence.com/docs/files/Release_Info/Docs/soceUG/soceUG8.1/CTS.html#1052198

Maybe you could have a look through that section and post back with the items that are still unclear.  Then we could seek to clarify any remaining confusion and push for enhancements to the documentation as needed.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob
