querying a specific attribute of a net

Is there a way to query only a specific attribute of a net in nanoroute/encounter?

getAttribute -net <netName> lists all the attributes of the net. If i want to selectively check only some attributes, like non-default rule, preferred layer, shielded..., is there a way to do it?

    Hi Rajesh,

I don't think there's a way to selectively query these NanoRoute attributes unfortunately. If you'd like to programmatically extract these, I think you'd need to redirect the output to a file and parse it.

That's cumbersome of course, so we're working on extending dbGet to include these markings in a future release.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob

     Hey Bob,

Thanks for the info. Any timeline on the implementation of this feature? This is a very useful feature and would really appreciate if it could be done as part of 9.1 .

    Hi, Bob,

This is Eminemshow (Roc), I think we can use dbIsNet* [dbGetNetByName $netName] structure to help him get the specific attribute he wants..........but the better way is to make enhancement to dbGet, it is really a GREAT command, thanks Cadence.
