why cadence encounter/ETS does not support dspf anymore

 I would like to know the reason behind ETS not supporting dspf file. Wehave a signoff flow based on signalstorm which used to readin the dspof file for the delay calucuation. Now I am looking to port the flow into ETS as signal storm has been  moved to ETS but I see that the ETS does not support dspf. Th recommendation is to dump a spef and gp ahead. I would like to know why the dspf is nor more supported and is there any acuuracy implication of usiung the spef instead of the dspf file
