Any way to report logic names of buffers/inverters ripped up during PlaceDesign?

Encounter reports the number and types of buffers it removes during PlaceDesign.  Is there any way to get a list of the logic names of the buffers that are removed?

    Hi nph,

    I don't believe there is a way to capture that list. I'd encourage you to file an enhancement request (at http://sourcelink.cadence.com or via your local AE) for the deleteBufferTree command, which is what placeDesign is calling to remove the buffers.

    Just thinking of work arounds here... How about using the ecoCompareNetlist command on a design before and after deleteBufferTree has been run. That will create a list of ECO commands with statements like these:

    #***********************************************************
    # Deleting source instance not found in reference.
    #***********************************************************

    DELETEINST DTMF_INST/DMA_INST/i_10632
