Does setPlanDesignMode work with multiPlanDesign ???

Hi ,

MultiPlanDesign creates Fplans automatically for us. In the created best floorPlans i need the Macros to be fixed ...For that there are no options availabe as such in the multiPlanDesign. But the option is in setPlanDesignMode...so will it work if we use this

setPlanDesignMode -fixPlacedMacros true

and them go for multiPlanDesign ?

Will anyway give a try :P

    Hi Naadhan,

multiPlanDesign currently fixes the macros when it's done.  In this respect, it is different than planDesign.  In fact, if you say "setPlanDesignMode -fixPlacedMacros false" you'll see that it's set to true after running multiPlanDesign.

We've discussed whether this "perhaps desirable but inconsistent behavior" is a good idea in the past, but let me re-visit this with R&D.  In my view planDesign should behave the same as multiPlanDesign otherwise it's confusing to navigate.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob
