crosstalk in dynamic power analysis

Hello,

I'm trying to analyze the energy dissipated by switching wires, considering cross coupling capacitances. Therefore the exact signal transitions should be cosidered, not only switching activity.

As I noticed, Encounter can do a simualtive power analysis with vcd files. But I did't find if and how cross coupling capacitances from spef-files would be evaluated in this simulation.

Now I need to know if I can do this analysis with cadence tools and if yes, what is the simplest solution. Or have I to get down to HSPICE? Thanks for your all help in advance.

Bye, Martin
