To bring a design into Encounter, you will need LEF files. You need both a tech LEF (defines the layers, vias, and other design info) and LEF files of all the standard cells or macros you may be using. For timing, you will need .lib files for all the cells you're using. That should be enough to get you going. Depending on what else you want to do with your design, there may be other things you'll need, like .cdB files (for signal integrity) or power library files (for analyzing IRdrop, EM, etc.). Sometimes these are provided with the library, but often you need to create them.

    Hi Sadegh,

That's a pretty broad question. :-) Which software do you mean? If you are talking about Encounter, then please start with the User Guide, specifically the Data Prep and Importing/Exporting Designs chapters.

    Generic Documentation (12 documents)

in each file there are several PDK files like:
    T-N65-CM-SP-007-K1
    T-N65-CM-SP-007-K2
    T-N65-CM-SP-007-K3

This forum is mainly for EDI (Encoutner Digital Implementation System). For Virtuoso, I recommend posting in the Custom IC forum.
