editPin slows down with each new pin

Hi,

I'm using editPin to place pins in our top level design but it gets slower for each pin it adds. It's a 3D design so editPin is the only command that I know of that can place pins in the middle of the design, and we have tens of thousands of connections from this layer. Does anyone know how to speed this up?

 Thanks
