I got the following error messages during CTS.

Please let me know when these errors are generated and what could've caused  the same

**ERROR: (SOCCK-776):   0: CTS finds wrong polarity on this instance's input pin uClockGen_3/n2_CLK400_DDR_half_L1_I0:A.

**ERROR: (SOCCK-773):   0: CTS finds wrong polarity on this instance's output pin uClockGen_3/CLK400_DDR_div2:CK.

**ERROR: (SOCCK-774):   ****** CTS for uClockGen_3/cts_PLL3_CLKOUT/I_ctsroota1/A has logic error.

**ERROR: (SOCCK-775):   ****** It is a FATAL ERROR. Please report to Cadence AE.

I'm using SoCE 7.1USR3 version.

     There was an issue for this reported when

    setCTSMode -nameSingleDelim TRUE
    If you are setting this variable to true, set it to false and then rerun CTS.
    You could also try a newer version of Encounter.
    Either way, it's always a good idea to run LEC to verify that your netlist is still good.

    Kari,

    Thanks for the response. However, i don't quite understand how the "singleDelim" option can result in wrong polarity in Clock nets.

    It would be helpful if there's a description of the ERROR messages inorder to understand the root cause of the issue.

    Does Cadence provide Error message documentation/man pages for ERROR messages like some other vendors do?

     The singleDelim option should not change the polarity, that's why it was a bug, which was fixed some time ago. You are using an older version of the tool. It may be that the polarity was not actually changed, but the error messages led the user to think it was. That's why I suggested running LEC.

    Error message documentation is improving all the time. In EDI 9.1, you can do the following:

    help  SOCCK-776

    --> summary of the message

    man SOCCK-776

    --> more detailed description

    Kari,

    Thanks for pointing me to the error description access mechanism in encounter.

    Currently the description is missing for most of the error messages including the ones that i had requested here.

    Is the man/help part of the tool binary? Is there a way to access the entire set of error message descriptions in one place?

    Does help on WARNING message exist?

     This is an ongoing effort, so not everything may be documented yet. I don't know of any location containing all the message descriptions in one place. For these particular messages, please file a service request so that you can get help with your particular case.
