Which command should be used instead of "optFanout -selNetFile optNet_6.net" in Encounter 9.1?

Dear all,

may somebody help me. Till now I was using the command "optFanout -selNetFile optNet_6.net" to optimize nets which do not meet timing constraints. This works in Encounter 8.1 but not in encounter 9.1. So my question now is, what should I use instead? Does you know an answer?

Best regards

I don't think optFanout is a valid command anymore. If optDesign isn't fixing these paths, we need to figure out why. Is it just the fanout you're concerned about, or do these paths have negative slack or transition or cap violations? Fanout itself is not fixed by default - you have to do:

    setOptMode -fixFanoutLoad true

    before running optDesign.
