Hi Kari, thank you very much for the reply.I hav already checked the LEF it is ok.I understood the problem but still i don't know how to solve it except going for manual routing. The connection is not happening because I don't have any ring or stripe for the pad and the pin to get connected.Actualy i don't need a ring since it is a connection from a single pad to a macro pin.In short, i have defined a global net VPP and connectd the pad pin and macro pin to the global net.I don't have a stripe or ring for VPP since it is just required for a macro.Can you tell me how i can connect these pins now using sroute.      I think your theory is correct - sroute is looking for a ring or stripe. If this is just one connection, we would typically do this by hand. Is this a really difficult connection to draw by hand?
