Regarding Usage of USEFUL SKEW.

hi, can anyone explain me the importance of useful skew in a design. How significant is useful skew in order to fix timing. if possible please illustrate with example. Regards Sandeep

    Hi Sandeep,

    Useful skew is not needed on every design, but sometimes it's just the thing to get you to timing closure. I always start out NOT using it, just because it's easier to not worry about the extra files that go along with it and making sure the info is handled correctly in the next steps. But other designers always turn it on from the beginning to get the best chance at closing timing as soon as possible. So it's your choice.
