import netlist to Encounter

lijulia

 When I am using Encounter, I had a problem:

I imported the netlist to Encounter and found there were no connection between many contacts and the metal paths which were connected together actually, please see the places inside the red circle in the attachment...

but when I imported the layout to Virtuoso, I can clearly see the connection between those contacts...

So that means: there is error  existing in the Encounter layout?

Thanks

Julia

    When you hit "Reply" (use Reply rather than Quick Reply) at the top there is an "Options" tab. Under that you can add attachments.

    This may be better under digital implementation forum - but I'll move it if it looks as if it is more an Encounter issue than a Virtuoso issue.

    Regards,

    Andrew.

     Hi Julia,

    The little yellow squares are pin "targets", but are not the actual pin shapes of the cells. Turn on "Instance Pin" on the right side of the Encounter window (under Layer Controls) and you should then see pin shapes that your routing and vias connect to.
