power planning >> addRing

E created a rectilinear contour for the core with the placement blockage using the partition cut. so when i addRing around the contour of the block, it says:

selected placement blockage (x1, y1, x2, y2) will be considered by addRing command as placement objects.

another thing is that the Encounter won't let me addRing using the type: core ring(s) contouring. it says the check design boundary or specify valid offsets.
please help.

thanks,
chhay
