Manual Clock Editing causes LVS issues

archive
archive over 17 years ago

When I use the clock browser in Encounter, and edit the clock tree using it's utilities, Encounter leaves dangling ports.. ie, if I disconnect a clock wire from one receiver, and connect to another, Encounter leaves the original port on the heirarchical entity in the netlist, even though nothing is connected to it anymore. I have many levels of heirarchy so this happens all over the place, and causes lots of issues when netlisting from Virtuoso (after importing DEF saved from Encounter). * deleteDanglingPort will coredump my session. * disconnectDanglingPort will only clean up some of the no-connects. Are there other "clean up" utilities I am not aware of?
