Wires and standard cell buffers not in the bus guide after CTS and optDesign

 Hi All,

Currently i am trying to use a busguide to make sure all the bus wires are inside the bus guide for top level hierachical design. The wires only inside the busguide during trial route. After CTS and Optdesign, the wires are out of the busguide. This is due to the standard cell buffers outside the busguide. I have tried to increse the size of the busguide but still the wires go out of the bus guide after OptDesign.

Can anyone tell me how can i do a bus routing that ensure the bus wires as well as the buffer standard cells are inside a busguide?  I also want the bus wires and the buffer standard cells to remain in the bus guide after CTS and OptDesign.

Ok thanks

     Hi Enoorsal,
It's hard to tell without seeing your design, but it sounds like you may be using bus guides for something other than point-to-point nets. CTS shouldn't figure in (there should be no flops in the path). For just buffering up the nets, optDesign should have placed any buffers along the path of the bus guide, so if you're seeing that part alone not working, you may want to file a service request or post a picture/question in the forums.
