How to calculate the channel spacing between macros?

Is this answer correct

 

channel spacing : width+spacing  x number of pins /vertical routing layers

    Hi,

    Yes it is.

    I think that it is better adding an aditional spacing because you can avoid violation with the side of one macros. The formula would be (width+spacing  x number of pins /vertical routing layers) + spacing
