slack computation

hi all ,

Is there any db command or direct encounter command to return only the slack value at particular term point or pin of instance by taking inputs like

1)start point and end point of timing path

 2) modes (setup or hold)

 if there is no direct command , please let me know the procedure (script )to compute the slack value ,if there is any ?

  • You should be able to do this using Advanced Timing Tcl commands. The following solution provides an example of how to capture different parts of the report_timing output including slack. You can adjust the report_timing command to only report the desired paths.
