hi All, i am pretty new to SOC. i would like to flatten my design so i can get a flatten netlist. can anyone help me on what command to use? say that my top level is called ABC. when i tried it with flattenCoverCell flattenIlm flattenPartition unflattenIlm none of these command work. maybe i am calling it wrong? want to be able to view a flatten netlist for debugging. Thanks, -Tony

Hi bluebear, In RTL Compiler you can do ungroup -all -flatten in EDI, you should contact the Digital IC community. Please note that ungrouping has a number of implications that you should be aware of. I am not advocating using it or not using but simply stating some aspect that should be factored into the decision good luck, gh-

I don't think there's a dynamic was to flatten the neltist in Encounter. Try "saveNetlist -flat" and load up the resulting flat netlist in a new session.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob
