Hi all,

When I trying to do Special route for Pad pins just after the power ring has done, the terminal shows the following err msg:

Reading LEF technology information...
*ERROR* "data_files/macro/dp_rf_256x8/dp_rf_256x8.vclef", line 374: cannot add PIN QA[0] to MACRO dp_rf_256x8 at or near "QA[0]"

A total of 10 errors.

I had check the QA pins in netlist, it is connected. I also try to re-generate the memory model again and again, but still fails with the err msg.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

please help, thanks ^_^

This typically occurs when you've read in a LEF already that has MACRO dp_rf_256x8 defined. The cell can only be defined in multiple LEFs if one LEF contains the logical/physical info and the other LEF contains the process antenna info. When reading in the LEF files you must specify the antenna LEF file after the LEF containing the logical/physical info. Here is the order the LEFs should be listed so they are read in the proper order:

    1. Technology LEF

    2. LEF containing logical and physical information for the cells

    3. LEF containing process antenna rules and information.

    Hope this helps,

    Brian
