Hi All

While executing checkTinming command i am seeing Unconstrained signal arriving at an end point warnings how can i rectifiy this warnings. What does Unconstrained signal ment for? What type of constraints we need to define to rectify these warnings?

    Hi vicky,

Unconstrained signal means you might not have defined set_input
_delay and set_output_delay in your constraint file check your .sdc file once.

    Hi all,

I have applied input and output delay constraints but still some ports are showing under unconstrained endpoints. I want to know all the reasons for ports or pins to be unconstrained endpoint. Please help me regarding this.

    Hello Srikanth,

When you have the design up, please report the unconstraints endpoints with following command.

    report_timing -to <endpoint> -path_exceptions all -unconstrained -view <viewName>

    This should give the answer.

    Hi Everyone,

I am also facing the same issue, even after reporting timing using below command

    Shweta said:
    report_timing -to <endpoint> -path_exceptions all -unconstrained -view <viewName>

I am getting unconstrained reasons as below, and not getting how to fix it. could you please help me to fix this issue.

All the outgoing arcs attached to the point hwscon/dfe_a1_i1_c1_inc_add_28_34_
    18_g402/A1N are inactive
There is also no capturing arc or constraint applicable to this end point
The above makes it the end point of the unconstrained path

    Thanks in advance,

    Abhilash.
