Encounter -> Report Power using VCD

Hello,

I've generating a Power Report using a VCD file for activity:

1. Exported netlist from encounter.

2. Used this netlist in ncsim and generated VCD file

3. Read in the activity file into encounter, this is the cmd generated from the menu:

read_activity_file -report_missing_nets true -format VCD -scope u_bon5000_toplevel -start {} -end {} -block {} ../ATPG/RESULTS/bon5000_test.vcd

  Filename (activity)                    : ../ATPG/RESULTS/bon5000_test.vcd
Names in file that matched to design   : 1557/1924
  Annotation coverage for this file      : 1557/2080 = 74.8558%

INFO (POWER-2168): Current Memory Usage : 1,150Mb bytes at 2013-Feb-04 14:38:56(2013-Feb-04 14:38:56 GMT)

367 nets were found in the VCD file(s) but were not in
the design.  These nets are listed in the log file eps.logv .

Total annotation coverage for all files of type VCD: 1557/2080 = 74.8558%
Percent of VCD annotated nets with zero toggles: 198/2080 = 9.51923%

4. I am not getting 100% annotation of nets. I've used the -report_missing_nets to try and debug the unannotated nets however no debug information is written either the the display and there is no sign of an eps.logv file anywhere in the database.

Any idea's how to debug the missing annotated nets ????

first check that the scope is correct. you may need to talk to whoever generated the VCD. Also, was the VCD generated from the netlist that you are using? If it was generated for an earlier version of the netlist that does not match, you can have annotation problems.
