VerifyGeometry not parsing all the sub area

Hello Everyone,

I am adding decaps after routing optimization using "addFiller -doDRC false -honorPrerouteAsObs false -cell {}"

After that performing verifyGeometry -error 100000

While doing the above step verifyGeometry is stopping after checking one subarea

<CMD> verifyGeometry -error 1000000

 *** Starting Verify Geometry (MEM: 11229.1) ***

Can anyone tell me the reason for it ??

There is only 1 sub-area it has to check:

         SubArea : 1 of 1

The bin size of each sub area is 1600.

    Hey Brian,

Thank you for the reply. The area of the block is more than that actually.

What i am trying to do is add decaps using "addFiller -doDRC false -honorPrerouteAsObs false <decap_cells>"

After doing this i check for drc using verifyGeometry -error 100000.

And after this whereever there are drc issues i remove decaps using "addFiller -cell <decap_cells> -fixDRC"

But verifyGeometry is not doing the way i expected it to do it.

Is it by default checking on a specific area ?

Is there any variable to be set to verify drc over the whole block ?

Can you explain why you believe it is not checking the whole block? Run getVerifyGeometryMode to see if the -area option is set. Run "setVerifyGeometryMode -reset" to set it to the defaults.
