Warnings during import verilog in Encounter

Ankit01
Ankit01 over 10 years ago

Hello all,

I am new to this forum. I am currently working on the digital design. I am using EDI platform for place and route of the digital circuit. I am using FSC0H_D standard cell library ( UMC 130nm Logic FSG process ). I have got the synthesized verilog code of 4-bit Counter. I then opened Encounter went to File and the Import Design. There I added the above verilog file. I then clicked on LEF Files and added following files (I followed the sequence given in the UMC130 Place and Route Doc)

header6m0t_V55.lef

fsc0h_d_generic_core.lef

FSC0H_D_GENERIC_CORE_ANT_V55.6m0t.lef

In Power nets : VCC

Ground nets : GND

Then OK

This is the log file output :

Checking out Encounter license ...
edsxl CHECKED OUT: "Encounter_Digital_Impl_Sys_XL"
Encounter_Digital_Impl_Sys_XL 14.2 license checkout succeeded.
You can run 2 CPU jobs with the base license that is currently checked out.
If required, use the setMultiCpuUsage command to enable multi-CPU processing.

Note that setting a very large number using the set_message -limit command
or removing the message limit using the set_message -no_limit command can
significantly increase the log file size.

You can *probably* ignore the LEF warnings, although I would fix as many as possible for a clean session and to make sure we're not missing any real problems. Post back if you need help with these.

The MMMC issue, however, definitely needs to be fixed before you continue.  Please see the User Guide for more information on setting up the MMMC. Place and route are timing-aware and therefore need the analysis view information, even if you only have one view.
