various Capacitance definition in RTL library

Hi,

I have been looking in RTL compiler library ( 45 nm NANGATEOPENCELL library) in which, I came across 2 different values for the input capacitance for a  input pin of a particular cell, namely 'rise_capacitance' and 'fall_capacitance'.  I do not know how interpret these values. I just want to know the input gate capacitance for some analysis purposes.

Do the value of input capacitance of any gate pin  depends on whether the signal is rising or falling, even if the capacitance varies as per the region of operation of device , then how one can fix the value without knowing the parameters that decide the region of operation of device?

Thanx in advance. Waiting for reply.

If this is for RTL Compiler, I think it should be in the Digital Implementation Forum (I'll move it there). However, the question seems to be specific to the NanGate Open Cell Library - so maybe you need to ask a question at

    Regards,

    Andrew.
