ccopt_design - ERROR ENCCCOPT-1135

Hello,

I am getting the following error when running "ccopt_design -cts":

ERROR  ENCCCOPT-1135 - CTS  found neither inverters nor buffers while balancing.

"AutoCTSRootPin * Buffer ..." doesn't really help.

How can the required buffers be defined for the "setCTSMode -engine ccopt"?

Thanks and best regards,

Boris

It sounds like you're mixing the legacy EDI-CTS clock tree spec file with CCOpt.

I'd recommend using CCOpt's way of specifying things like buffers instead:
    set_ccopt_property buffer_cells "CKBUFX1 CKBUFX2"

But if you're really intent on running CCOpt with an EDI-CTS clock tree spec file, check out ccopt_design -ckSpec, which directs CCOpt to use the EDI-CTS clock tree spec file.

    Hope this helps,
    Bob
