Streaming out GDSII from Encounter (EDI) - gds doesn't include standard cells

Hello

I am trying to stream out a GDS file from Encounter EDI, but I notice that the GDS file does not include the standard cells.

I only have a library file and LEF and tech files. I don't have access to the GDS files for the standard cells.

Can someone please help me? I saw A similar post but it did not help me much.

Thank you.

If you want the GDS of the std cells to be included, you have to provide the std cell gds through the -merge option. If you don't have access to the GDS files for the std cells, then there is no way you can include them. You could have the stream include LEF-based placeholders with the -outputMacros option, but I'm not sure if that's your intent.

    Hi,

You must specify the -merge parameter if you specify the parameter -uniquifyCellNames.

For other side, It is recommended to include the gds map file.

    Regards.
