Tool: Encounter 14.2

The design kit has 3 LEF files for the following.

  • Header file (Metal & via information)
  • Core cells
  • Antenna Information for metals & core cells.

During place & route, I add these files in the order given above.

When I tried to create a PG library for Rail Analysis, I got the following warning.

** WARN: (VOLTUS_LGEN-3036): Duplicate macro definitions were found while processing the LEF files. This may indicate that the MergeLef program
should have been run before starting VOLTUS_LGEN.

Could you explain how to run MergeLef program ?

if am not mistaken this is a warning message that can be ignored. I suspect this should be because you are providing antenna information with the same macro name. so the lef reader/merger is issuing an internal statement that you have twice (one as part of regular lef of macro/cells, and once during antenna) provided the macro name
