Cadence doesnot grant encounter anymore ? :(

Hello,

I have been using encounter for digital implementation for three years, and just a week ago, I had this license error:

**ERROR: (ENCLIC-83):    Option license 'enclp' (Encounter_Low_Power_GXL 12.0) did not exist in license server.
**ERROR: (ENCLIC-83):    Option license 'epsxl' (Encounter_Power_System_XL 12.0) did not exist in license server.
**ERROR: (ENCLIC-83):    Option license 'etsxl' (Encounter_Timing_System_XL 12.0) did not exist in license server.

I was surprised I was told by the license manager that cadence doesnot grant license for encounter anymore (surprised!!!)

and I will be forced to move my design to a new tool "innovis".

So could anybody share if you have similiar issue?

Thank you!

yes you have to move. talk to your license manager if you have access to university innovus licenses. encounter has been replaced by innovus since Apr 2015.
